more thoughts from a scatterbrain

It's been a whole week!!
But a busy one....

Thank goodness the election is over......
Now I'm back to regular hours and tormenting the cat.

Went to the Nickelback concert Friday night. What an AWESOME experience! (Second concert for the radiogirlie)
We were so close we could feel the pyro!!!
Got a VERY cool t-shirt.

Spent Saturday shopping...found a new cat nip filled toy for the cat...
It's driving him insane!!

Also picked up Marty Casey and the Lovehammers!
VERY GOOD CD!!
..it'll be you and me up in the trees....

going to enjoy home made butterscotch pie today.

The misguided, crazy weather chick says....

I'm quite ready for winter to end....

That or just get rid of this DARN ice!! Don't get me wrong, I love snow cause it's fun to make snow angels in, but not when it's on top of a layer of ice.

So, I'm quite proud of myself.
I think I've figured out out disk refurbisher...Luk had such a hard shift last night, I made him test all of the games that we ran through it.

Life is good...having a relaxing weekend, doing my friend a favour and watching her kids.

Looking forward to Tuesday when the election is FINALLY over!!

Just another day.....

Hmmm...

Not much new today...the election is getting closer.
Going to put in some extra hours on Monday trying to get good coverage.

Didn't get around to harassing the cat again today...

I did make a pan of lasagna..yummy, lunch for the rest of the week!

Ice Sucks....

So I posted yesterday, and then went on to have a slight travesty...

No catnip involved, honest!!

I was walking back to my car after spending time at a local establishment, when I felt my feet go airborne and found my bottom end firmly on the ground.
OUCH!!

Getting up and sitting back down are difficult, but getting easier...

I will be VERY glad when the election is over...
I'm quite vexed with one of our local candidates....
He thought it was necessary to park himself outside of another candidate's luncheon, where there was a highly regarded guest speaker.

I think this particular man just wanted MORE than his fair share of air time.

C'est la vie...

OMG...a day to keep my jammies on til 1pm!

Have you ever gotten so drunk that lights and brightly coloured toys seem WAY too facinating?

I have spent the last 24 hours putting our cat in this state of bliss....
Gracious friends of ours brought catnip (and YES it is catnip) over for us.

Ozzy's toys have been getting a daily dip in the green stuff.
His reaction is quite entertaining....except when he tries to get more.
No more stove jumping for the cat!

I rented Chumscrubber (hahahahaa, rented!).
It's still really bothering my that the story made very little sense...maybe I should try some catnip, it might help.

Darn freezing rain!!

Quote of the day: why do they call them carpools, when it doesn't involve water?

Another day....

So I made use of the Provincial telehealth line today...

Had to describe symptoms and get an opinion to see if a trip to the hosptial was needed.
The nurses on the other line were VERY helpful.
Kudos to them!
Now I don't have risk catching anything by sitting in an emergency room!

Life is good. Movie Factory is still busy.

We have new covers for the movies that describes what it's about and how long the flick is.

Check them out!

My ode to Tim Hortons

Hot Raspberry Smoothies....I have a really severe addiction to them.

I was doing well to avoid them all together until we met a friend for coffee...

Menh, so starts another battle.

It's almost the weekend. I'm looking forward to A WHOLE DAY OFF!!
Will I spend it on the couch catching up on my laziness?

Probably not.

Quote of the day: black socks DO get dirty...when they start walking on their own, direct them to the laundry room.

A Day at Work....

Worked my butt off at work last night.

Weyburn's all candidates forum was held and I interviewed all of the candidates.

Well, most of them were pretty interesting...one actually fell asleep on stage during the debate.
HAHAHAHA..

I have one rant today....PEOPLE WHO DO NOT PUT SALT ON THE SIDE WALKS INFRONT OF THEIR BUSINESSES!!

holy crap..it was so slippery on my way to work today.

THAT DARN CAT!

So, i really do love our cat, but sometimes, i would love to toss him across the room.

It was like 8:30 this morning and I was nicely waking up...and the cat (as per usual) jumped into the window above the head of the bed.

While my darling husband was egging him on, Ozzy (the cat) reaches down and whacks me in the head and not Corey....

D'oh!!

All well, I'll get them both back at some point.

Awesome day at the store...was able to preview Red Eye and The Constant Gardener this weekend.

Look for them both on Tuesday!!

Not so much gushing....

K...so i'll quit talking about u know who...

IT'S THE WEEKEND!!

Taking a few minutes for myself, bopping to my INXS DVD...LOVE JD FORTUNE!!

So I'm planning to vacate the house tomorrow afternoon (thank god for the video store!!)

We're planning a football party and for those who are invited, i'll not spoil the menu, but i think some Italian pie and grain made beverages will in order.

Oh and the dog and i are having a blast.....he's trying to sleep despite the loud music, but is stuck to me like glue.

I love the Weyburn Salvation Army...they do AWESOME work in our community, congrats to them for making their goal this year!

The store is good..we have Wedding Crashers...can't wait to find 2 hours and watch it again.

Looking forward to the weekend. Want to spend time with my dog.

oh and my husband finally got his Christmas present today. I ordered him a Giant Jersey and calendar...
Hurrah!
Got them just in time for the playoffs.

Oh the life of a foot ball wife......
